Big, bigger, dump trucks! The largest dump trucks are not to be seen on our roads and are used in mines and quarries. Most of them are as large as single-family homes. In their individual parts, they are transported to the site of use and assembled there. But which country do the largest dump trucks come from and which manufacturers occupy the top 5 positions?

## 1. The largest dump truck: BelAZ-75710

The world's largest dump truck comes from Belarus from the brand BelAZ. It is **20 meters wide and just under 8 meters high**. Its payload capacity is **450 tons**, and when fully loaded it weighs over 800 tons. The BelAZ-75710 is used in mining and can reach approximately 65 km/h despite its mass – that's not even that slow.

## 2. Komatsu 980E-4

In second place is the Japanese manufacturer Komatsu with the 980E-4. This dump truck has a payload capacity of **369.4 tons** and is used in mines and quarries.

## 3. Caterpillar 797

The third largest dump truck is the Caterpillar 797, whose largest fleet is owned by the Canadian oil sands industry. The special feature: Despite its payload capacity of **320 tons**, it can be transported in one piece, with a special procedure developed by Mammoet in 2015 for this purpose.

## 4. Liebherr T284

The fourth largest dump truck comes from German manufacturer Liebherr and has a payload capacity of **363 tons**. Its main area of use: mines, for example in South Africa. A full 18 steps are required to reach the driver's cab.

## 5. BelAZ-75600

The fifth place is occupied by another dump truck from Belarus. The BelAZ-75600 has a payload capacity of **360 tons** and is used – like most of the largest dump trucks – worldwide in mines.
