# The klarx logistics center – the story behind it

Digitizing the rental process and optimizing it down to the smallest detail – that's always been our vision. With the logistics center, we're taking the next important step in digital construction equipment rental. This article explains what role the logistics center plays in process optimization and how the idea came about.

### How the Idea Started

How can we get even better at what we do? Where can we make improvements to offer customers the best rental experience the market has ever seen? The thought process is easy to understand: We want to use our digital processes to guarantee one hundred percent access to construction equipment rentals at all times. One hundred percent access also means being able to make faster decisions, and faster decisions lead to an even better rental process and better results.

Let's just do it ourselves! Simply doing it – that's our motto at klarx.

In early 2020 – and that in the year of upheaval itself – the idea of the logistics center was born. It took only six months to turn the vision into reality: We opened our logistics center at our Munich location.

## Challenges and the klarx Way

The real world presents great challenges. We've never shied away from them. Even though the step from a digital platform to the very real dispatcher operations and machine transport wasn't an easy decision. Our expertise has been based from the beginning on the digital representation of construction equipment rental. Over the years, however, a mindset develops that doesn't shy away from risks and demonstrates courage and smart handling in the right moments.

The right moment came when a suitable property in Munich-Sendling became available. Where Siemens once tested its products, klarx is today building the future of the construction industry.

"If there's one thing we are, it's fast. We always have been, and now we'll be able to act even faster," says Matthias Handschuh, as the construction noise slowly dies down in the background. "We're creating a place that excites our customers, partners, and employees equally. We can finally establish our own digital processes in the real world and continue to optimize them. To do this, we're creating an atmosphere that makes the future of the construction site tangible."
